I’m having trouble breathing. Normal pregnancy symptom?
I’m curious if this is just another, “Don’t worry that’s normal…” type of thing: I’ve been having this really weird thing where my heart will suddenly race for no reason and I feel like I’m physically being choked by my throat. I can hardly breathe and I literally have to gasp for air and take deep breaths to make it stop. Today it happened again, I was laying in bed reading when all of the sudden I got really hot, felt like someone was choking me, and everything. I had to sit up and throw all of my blankets off to try to breathe again. Has anyone else had this happen? I keep on meaning to ask my doctor…
Some have suggested it has to do with anxiety, but I’m really laid back and I don’t have a lot of stress going on. Any ideas?
yeah thats not a normal pregnancy symptom. It does sound like an anxiety attack though. You dont have to be incredibly stressed to have them sometimes they just happen and you do have a lot going on in your life with pregnancy etc.
It normal to have a problem breathing in regards of being able to take a full breath at the end of pregnancy when the baby is pushing on the lugs, but its nothing like you described.
btw I used to get panic attacks in the middle of the night. I would wake up and feel exactly like you described. It was after having my baby though
