panic attack day after drinking
Panic attacks ALL day!!! Please help!!!?

I’m a stay at home mommy of 4. My husband works night shift. I have been experiencing some pretty horrific panic attacks this past week. usually they come ONLY at night after my hubby leaves for work but the past 2 days they have been happening ALL day long with no breaks in between. CONSTANT panic and anxiety! I worry so much about when another panic attack will occur that i continue to be anxious and have panic attacks. I have tried deep breathing, taking my mind off of “it”, going outside for a walk, drinking water etc and NOTHING helps!!! Can someone, anyone PLEASE tell me how to stop them when they are about to happen and how to stop worrying about when the next time one will happen. I cant sleep, I cant eat, I cant even focus on my children with these panic attacks. Waiting for insurance to kick in so no doctor YET! Please help!!!!

When one “hits” start pacing to work off that extra adrenaline. You are now in the cycle of “fearing the fear” this happens alot with people who have panic/anxiety disorder.

Get a small rock or stone and keep it in your pocket when one hits rub the stone concentrate on how it feels, the texture your mind cannot concentrate on two things at once.

Hug your kids, smell their hair, feel their little hands stay in the moment with them.

I’m a mom of 4 kids and have a panic disorder if I can do it, you can to, promise

You can’t stop them but, you can keep telling yourself this is going to go away in a few minutes, and it will. You have done it before and you can do it again.

No insurance, call the Mental Health Association and see someone there. The are very low cost, I once paid 35 dollars for a year of treatment.

Panic and anxiety attacks are horrible. But they are what they are and they can’t last more than a half hour.

Have snacks ready for the kids and have videos ready too. Then sit down with them, so you can give yourself a rest.

society anxiety disorder
Women have it easier in society than men… So answer this?

Women have it easier in society than men…

…so why is it that women have higher suicide attempts than men (3 to 1), are twice as likely to suffer from depression than men, and are twice as likely to suffer from anxiety and panic disorders than men?

When women have it easier, have less pressures/expectations, are treated better, have less responsibility, and more freedom to express themselves?
Maria: You can look up the statistics for yourself.

OK…since when did we come to the conclusion that “woman have it easier in society than men”?

And I suggest you take your “women are treated better” theory to the nearest battered women’s shelter and explain it to them. They’ll be SO supportive.

I have been diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse and anxiety?

I also experience shortness of breath on a regular basis, my question is that when it comes time for my menstral cycle, my breathing becomes very labored, hard to take in a deep/satisfying breath. Is there anyone else that knows what i’m going through and why..ps i am otherwise healthy, not overweight, haven’t smoked for 10 yrs now, have been through just about every cardio-type test out there. this all started in my early 20s and am now 36….please help

mitral valve prolapse can cause gunk to grow in your heart if not treated properly…eg taking antibiotics before and after seeing the dentist. So a good cardiologist could be the answer. My cardiologist said my stress test showed some dark areas that didn;t look bad but wanted to go “inside” to check to be sure nothing was wrong. although I felt ok but got winded easily, I didn’t expect them to find much. As it turned out the front artery to my heart was 99% blocked and 3 other heart arterys had blockage. I left there with 1 stent and 3 angioplastys. So you can’t always tell.
Anxiety can cause you to have difficulty breathing. And the more you think about it the worse it gets. Relax and find a cardiologist with a good rep.
